Jayco-AlUla is stepping into the Tour de France with a trio of Simon Yates, Dylan Groenewegen and Michael Matthews while chasing both overall podium and stage wins in races from 6/29 to 7/21.

Yates, who was ranked 4th overall last year, will lead the overall class again this year along with key support rider Chris Harper to beat Visma-Lease and hope the uae team Emirates will stand on the podium.

"Getting ready for TDF is always exciting and we are confident that we will race in a team similar to 2023," yates said in a team release. "Following last year, it's great to get on the top step and the overall podium.

"I hold the leader's jersey in the Giro and Vuelta and I stand on the podium overall in both, but not yet in TDF. That's my big goal," said the rider, who is reportedly trying to move out of the Australian team next season.

Groenewegen– who has netted a stage victory in his two Tour de France appearances since joining the team, two seconds and three– putting Groenewegen's position in this year's team in question will never line up for the sprint again with Caleb Ewan's return to jayco-AlUla. It is not. The Dutch rider has his latest victory in Stage 1 of the Tour de Slovenia this season, but finding a podium in a world Tour-level race is his best result.

"We've had some wins this season, but we've also had a lot of 2nd and 3rd place," Groenewegen said. "I know there is speed and I want to get it right on tour."

Pure sprint may be the domain of Groenewegen, but the versatility of Matthews, who also had a number of near misses this season in the tightest seconds at Milan–San Remo

"He was in good shape and got off to a good start for the season.I hope that after a lot of training at altitude and some stage reconnaissance, everything will be fine on the tour, because we are on the podium again at Milan San Remo and we are nearing some victories," Matthews said.He won the Tour de France stage with his last participation in 2022, 2017 2 and another in 2016 1.
