Caitlyn Armstrong ordered to payモ1500 million to Moria Wilson's Family

According to kxan's report, the judge ordered kaitlin Armstrong to payMor1500 million to Moriah Wilson's family as part of a civil lawsuit. 

Wilson's parents filed a wrongful death civil lawsuit against Armstrong on May 5, 6 months after Armstrong was found guilty of killing Wilson and sentenced to 90 years in prison.

Judge Daniella DeSata Lytle gave Wilson's mother and father5500 million each for "emotional pain, distress and emotional distress, including suffering from the death of their daughter." 

Wilson's parents were also given模範的250 million each for exemplary damages.

KXAN reported that Judge Daniella DeSata Lytle entered a default ruling after Armstrong did not respond to the lawsuit by the deadline, and that records show that no lawyer representing Armstrong was listed.

Armstrong was convicted after a 1-week trial in 2023/11/16, and prosecutors presented evidence related to Wilson's shooting at his home in Austin, Texas, in 2022/5/11.

Armstrong filed a notice of appeal in 2023/11/27.

Randy Howley represented Wilsons in the civil suit and said that it was intended to ensure Armstrong would not benefit from her crimes.

"If she has the opportunity to benefit financially from this crime, this ruling will prevent her from getting any of that money until my client is properly compensated," Howry said in the KXAN report.
