Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, transferred from Ineos to Visma Lease-a-Bike.

Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, the only female rider in Ineos Grenadier for two seasons, will move to Visma Lease-a-Bike in 2025, WielerFlits reports.

Ferran-Prevot, a 12-time world champion, had already announced that 2024 would be her final year of mountain biking and that she was looking to return to road biking with the big goal of competing in the Tour de France Femme.

"I miss it, especially now that there is a women's Tour de France," Ferrand-Prevot told Ineos Grenadiers teammate Geraint Thomas on his podcast in October.

"I want to be in the Tour de France one day. Right now I'm concentrating on the Paris Olympics, but I'd like to get back into road racing next year or the year after."

Her main focus in 2024 and in Ineos will be the Paris Olympics. She will participate in the MTB cross-country competition on July 28.

The departure of Ferran Prevot will show that Ineos Grenadiers is one of the few men's WorldTour teams without a female equivalent.

Ferrand-Prevot's move to 2025 Visma-Ries-a-Bike means she will return to full road competition for the first time since 2018.

She was previously road world champion in her most successful 2014 season, winning La Flèche Wallonne and Emacmen Euskal Vila, as well as French national road and ITT champion.

For the past six seasons, however, her eyes have been solely on off-road competitions, during which she won the rainbow jersey eight times in MTB and once in cyclocross, becoming the first female gravel world champion.

Her move to Visma-Lease a Bike meant a reunion with former teammate and fellow discipline star Marianne Vos, who was with Rabobank-Liv from 2012 to 2016.

Ferran-Prevot will likely combine both cyclocross and road in the Dutch organization, along with Vos and young star Femme van Empel. Vos and van Empel are two of the four riders signed by Visma for 2025.
