Kim Katzow signs new contract with EF Education Cannondale after strong spring campaign

Kim Katzow has signed a new contract with EF Education Cannondale. The New Zealand time trial champion joined the new Continental team this season and renewed her contract after a strong spring campaign that saw her perform well on the Women's World Tour.

"I'm growing much faster than I thought I would, especially compared to last year. Especially compared to last year. I am amazed at how fast things have progressed. I've grown a lot in terms of bike handling and technique. I learned how to race in the peloton, riding, nutrition, recovery, and training," Kassow said.

"The team gives us the knowledge behind why we do what we do. I really trust the team's plan and my growth."

After winning the time trial title at the New Zealand championships in February and finishing second in the road race, Cattuso took the overall title at the Trofeo Ponente in Rosa. He followed that up with a sixth-place finish at the Ardennes Classics in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and three top-10 finishes at the Vuelta España Femenina, where he finished 10th overall. Still in her second full season of competition, Cazzo explained that she has exceeded her own expectations at EF Education Cannondale.

"The great thing about this team is the group that surrounds me at dinner. We laugh at the table, we laugh at the bikes, we laugh at the races. It's like one big group of sisters."

"We always back each other up and expect the best from each other. But no matter what happens, we are always there to support each other.

Cadzo, who has a background in triathlon, says he is focused on improving his bike handling, cornering, and navigation of the peloton.

"I want to keep going the same way I've been going! I don't want to change anything and that is exactly why I re-signed with the team. I just want to keep focusing on my craft, my training, and learning.

"I want to learn how to be a GC rider in the future and how to deal with fatigue better. I think the only way I can continue to grow is by staying on the team."

Esra Trump, the team's general manager, said that Katzow exhibits the extraordinary work ethic the team was looking for in a rider, qualities that will help him grow in the professional world.

"When I first met Kim, she was new to the sport and had only had a small race under her belt. Tromp said, "I saw an ambitious rider trying to discover herself on a bike.

"There are two basic but essential qualities in a successful rider. Kim had both. She can learn from them and grow.

"Kim has already taken a big step forward this year. She is growing as an athlete. She is already more comfortable in the group. She still has room to grow, but she is now able to think about tactics during the race. She has also grown a lot as a person. Kim wants to succeed and is ready to invest in her career."
