Lorena Wiebes debuts at GP Sven Nys wearing SD Worx training kit

Lorena Wiebes made her long-awaited debut with SD Worx at the GP Sven Nys in Baar on Sunday, January 1.

After completing her two-and-a-half-year stint with Team DSM at the end of 2022, the Dutch sprinter started the New Year wearing the SD Worx team training kit to continue her efforts in cyclocross for the 2023 road season.

"Lorena Wiebes made her Team SD Worx debut today at GP Sven Nys. She rode in our training kit and the CX was a good preparation for next season. Lorena finished 36th. Next up is a training camp in Spain. Let's go!" SD Worx posted on social media.

SD Worx confirmed that they will release the new kit design on January 5, so until then, all riders are training and racing in the training version of the kit.

Wiebes was competing in two cyclocross races, Kiremko Nacht van Woerden on October 25 and Superprestige Niel - Jaarmarktcross on November 11. On January 1, she wore the SD Worx training kit for She wore it for the first time and lined up at the bar.

The kit is splashed with pink and purple, accented with yellow on the left shoulder.

Vives' move from Team DSM to SD Worx is one of the biggest changes for the 2023 team. With 23 wins in 2022, including two stage wins at the Tour de France Femme, Vives is arguably the best sprinter in the women's peloton.

With her on the roster, SD Worx will have a fast finisher that can be relied upon throughout the entire Women's World Tour.
